Mississippi Real Estate License Requirements

Mississippi Education Requirements for License Renewal:

Real estate licensees are required to complete 16 hours of Mississippi Real Estate Commission- approved continuing education every two-year renewal cycle. Eight of the sixteen hours can be any MREC-approved elective course; the other eight hours must be in the following required topics:

• License Law (two hours)
• Contract Law (two hours)
• Agency Law (four hours)

(Note: New salesperson and broker licensees who have completed the post-license requirement are NOT required to complete the 16 hours of CE listed above for the FIRST two-year renewal cycle of the permanent license.)
